It?s around lunch time when we pull into corporate headquarters of Tradewind Knitwear Designs Inc., home of Lucy Neatby and many of her unique and exciting knitwear designs. Lucy stayed with us this past winter for a few days while doing a workshop for the Northern Fibres Guild in Whitehorse. We will be staying here for a few days to meet Lucy?s family, take in the Tall Ships event and to prepare for a canoeing trip in Kejimkujik National Park. We first meet Lucy?s twelve year old daughter Georgina, who after introductions, inquires where are dogs are. There is an instant connection between them all. Lucy?s husband John is still at work and he arrives home around five. He is the engineer superintendent for a tugboat outfit called Eastern Canada Towing. There other two children, well young adults actually, away visiting relatives and working in Great Britain. So there you have it, the Neatby clan from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia formally of Milford Haven, South Wales. Lynn, Lucy and Georgina (George), head down to the harbour to check out some of the ships that have already arrived. Me, well I just couldn?t pass up the chance for a little time alone on the couch. Later it?s a great supper and plans are laid for the next days activities including a ride on one of the tugs as it brings in a tanker full of crude.

What more to say? Nothing! No pictures either. We are looking forward to a great weekend in Halifax and four days canoeing in Kejimkujik! See you later alligators!
