We bypassed this Canadian icon of museums when we were here before. But now we needed to drop a book off at Julia’s and do a few other chores so we thought we might as well spend a few extra hours and see this one.
Well, all we managed during our four hours was an overview. Totally amazing and worth visiting over and over again. The curators of this one really need congratulating. We started our visit at the IMAX theatre which has a dome shaped screen and reclining seats. Of the three offered films we chose the Coral Reef. Beautiful and interesting sums that one up, see it if you can. That consumed an hour. The three other hours were spent wandering around thoroughly enjoying ourselves. So much of what we learned at the Historic Sites was summed up here. The museum also houses the Canada Post Museum and a Children’s Museum. Not to be missed if you are anywhere near here.
